Motivation and enthusiasm.

Motivation and enthusiasm fed each other.

The root of the word enthusiasm comes from the Greece enthu to have God within.

In my dating days I went out with many women of different backgrounds and ages. The older women, even though they more frequently knew what they wanted, were hesitant to go after a man. They had been raised to believe that the man should be the aggressor and so they hardly ever telephoned. Instead they waited for the man to call them, the proper way.

The younger women by comparison, were raised as a television generation. On television programs, unless there is an action drama or movie, we just see talking heads. The younger women took the initiative. They called and even though they were less solvent economically, they invited you out for dinner. Guess who had more success and who went out just for the sake of going out? Guess who met more people and networked more often?

If you are sensitive and polite, you can be as aggressive as you wish.

Chance favors the prepared mind.

Most people believe that there are an infinite number of possibilities that will be available to them. What they fail to realize is that even though the probabilities are vast, only a very few of those prospects can change their lives significantly.

After you have made an initial contact you have to maintain and keep the connection.

Life is action.

Thinking and having a wonderful plan, having a great idea, knowing just what to do and what action to take, writing down the list, setting it all up is planning and possibly essential but it is not execution. Doing is what it is all about.

People who can concentrate, analyze, fix, implement and just plain do are consequential.

Many people truly believe that they are “idea” people. They have many ideas in both business and personal relations. These people are not even good thinkers or activists and are a multitude.

“Ideas without the courage or drive to implement are like black holes.”  Satoru

Ruthlessly Prioritize

Your first obligation in this lifetime is to maintain and improve your physical condition. Your second obligation is to become more successful. Then you can fulfill your obligations to your friends, loved ones, and the greater community. If you do not radically prioritize your existence for your health then you use up your strength for money. Then when you lose your health you have nothing because you cannot maintain your existence and all you finances will be spent on attempting to restore your wellbeing. First application of this thesis is to do some stretching. This cost you nothing but some time and discipline. Next you must stop procrastinating about losing some weight, seeing a doctor for a check up and blood test, sleeping more soundly, exercising, and improving your nutrition. Satoru

WISDOM

Truth does not stem from reason it stems from belief.  We all believe that what we think is the truth.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes so he is. Bhagavad Gita

The most difficult things to learn are new ways of acting and relating.  Because before we learn new actions we have to unlearn the patterns and procedures that we have already set up, disregard them and change, then learn something new.  This is the process of creation.  This is why good artists have to be objective and flexible.  Can we extrapolate this creativity toward other aspects of our lives? Can we bring more imagination to our work, loves, friends, business, our health, and aspirations? Satoru
