Objectivity

We fabricate our illusions, basing our perceptions on thoughts rather than reality. Perhaps it is because thinking is more entertaining than knowing. And although we think in generalities, we live in details. So, we focus on detail in planning, compiling, and refining lists, calculating variables and alternate scenarios, and dreaming of improvements and expanded lifestyles. This lack of objectivity in our thinking manifests itself by allowing us to become emotionally attached to possessions, expectations, and situations. But the real quantum leaps of improvement in our lives escape us because we are not detached enough to simplify our existence, concentrate on absolute priorities, and look at the world with fresh interest.

A finite planet

For millennia, major cities have sprouted on the banks of rivers, the shores of lakes and the coastlines of seas. This was true of all the great Kingdoms that have flowered and then passed into history. The sea is a mother, father, and God. The sea and water, the miracle of the planet, unites everything.

We live on a finite planet. We are the only human existence anywhere.

We are destroying everything on the planet that supports life.

Unless we make some big changes, which it doesn’t look like we’re about to do, we are going to destroy each other and the planet.

How do you give people the idea that we are the only life and we’re all in this together? If it doesn’t happen soon we are on our way out like the dinosaurs. The madness’s is that we did it to ourselves.

It turns out that the earth is the insane asylum for the universe.

Happiness

We are all part of the universe; we are not the center, but we are all connected biologically to each other; we are connected chemically to the earth; and we are connected atomically to the stars and the universe.

Happiness is an imaginary condition, A theoretical concept. Do not attribute it to anyone—the living, the dead, children, or adults. This relatively new doctrine of happiness entitlement can raise expectations that can never be fulfilled, thereby producing feelings of failure and melancholy.

Every life has a measure of sorrow. Sometimes it is this that awakens us. Do not seek perfection in a changing world. Instead, perfect your love.

From A Way to Health. Out soon.

Connect the Ideas

When complexity makes knowledge difficult to attain we are an organism that substitutes knowledge with beliefs. Then we become susceptible to manipulation and ideology and follow false prophets. Public policy becomes shaped by irrational beliefs rather than knowledge or facts.

Analogy

If elected, Trump will run the country like a pigeon playing chess.

He will only play if he uses the white pieces.

His first move is to knock over all the pieces.

Then he will shit all over the board.

He will then declare he won the game.

Mussolini Trump and his cohorts are in a very elite club, and you’re not in it.

Protect our country and our democracy by voting for the person that will do the least harm.
