Bushido Success and Vision

Observe the bigger picture and do not just focus on the insignificant aspect with which you have an emotional attachment. Setting your priorities correctly will give you the most impact and allow you to motivate, inspire, learn and change. Find the talent that can help you to carry out your mission, a triangular alliance is more stable than a two legged one, and be decisive once you have the facts to act. Have strategic solutions but remember that being just approximately right can solve many problems. Do not take no for an answer from a person who does not have the power to say yes. Satoru

Bushido Success and Leadership

The more successful you are the easier it is to lead. If you have success you can afford better advisors, food, health care, and most of all you have more energy. Seek out an older successful person and ask their advice. Consider the information they give you with a view toward change and having a vision. Stop everything and listen to the quiet to have contact with your intuition and creative thoughts. Forget about multitasking and focus on doing one thing with quality and excellence. Life is action, but do not confuse activity with progress. Satoru

Bushido Attitude

A strong wind comes over me. I know this wind from Alaska where it was called the hawk. It bites into my flesh taking bits from my soul and courses through me. There is no color around me. I look back at my trail, a being crawling over a checkerboard. I was saving the game of chess for when I got older. Then I would have time and money to drink fine red wine and learn the game. When death came for me I could play him and forestall the inevitable. I waited too long. My body is just a hollow shell, coupled with diminishing strength and the death of a thousand cuts. But the wind now changes from an arctic chill to invigorating energy and I enjoy the feeling of still being alive. I look ahead and take one more step.

We possess nothing certainly except the past- yet to live we must exist only in the present. Satoru

Faith and Reality

A true moral religion proselytizes only through good deeds or ethical information. The religion includes both sexes, accepts all moral affiliations, embraces all reasonable, intelligent, modern people, and ideas. If any coercion, or force of any kind, is used to assert the religious conviction then the faith is transformed into a political policy. The religious conviction is then diminished and is only being used to obtain power, ascendency, and absolute control. A faith that justifies violence in God’s name is blasphemy. Beware of a political movement masquerading as a religion. Since the future will always come before we are ready to give up the present, today we must denounce religiously motivated violence and plant the seeds that will rescue the world from superstition and tyranny. Zen Flexibility

Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.

I have been told that it will be very difficult for a New Yorker to assimilate into the South’s culture. It will be hard for a Brooklyn Buddhist to absorb a rednecks’ country philosophy. To them I say, Give me a lift and I’ll hay your wagon. God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy. Can I get a halleluiah? Can I get an Amen?
